Level 1

Intro to Sketch Writing: Are you interested in exploring your creative side? Do you want to learn how to write sketches will make people laugh? Then you should definitely consider taking an introduction sketch writing class! This class will teach you the basics sketch writing and help you develop your skills as a writer Don't miss out on this opportunity to unleash your creativity and have fun!

Level 2

Sketch Writing and Performing: Sketch writing students can tighten up their sketches by focusing on the premise and eliminating any unnecessary elements. They can also work on the structure and pacing of the sketch to ensure that it flows smoothly and delivers the intended punchline. Once the sketch is polished, students can perform it in front of an audience to gauge its effectiveness and make any final. Practice and feedback are key to improving sketch writing skills.

3 Week Online Writing Class

3-Week Writing Boot Camp with Rich Talarico (Online): 

Rich shares insights and techniques from his years in comedy and late night TV (SNL, MADtv, Key & Peele, The Tonight Show) and from having co-written five resident company shows for The Second City in Chicago. Students will learn essentials: how to write jokes, how to identify and use comedic devices, as well as brainstorming & pitching technique. Class will cover a variety of scene types and screenplay formatting. Students will receive free screenwriting software. The comic techniques learned in this bootcamp can be applied to Stand-Up, Pilot Writing, Film, Social Media, Journal, Novel writing and more.
